Beaver Scouts are young people usually aged between six and eight years old. They belong to the first and youngest Section in the Scouting family. They can move to the next Section, Cub Scouts, between eight and eight years six months.
The 73rd Portsmouth Colony is very active with 24 Beavers at present. They go from Beavers, to Cubs, to Scouts without putting their names to any other lists. We play games, do handicrafts, go on visits and welcome visitors to talk to us in the Colony and generally have fun. The Beavers also achieve badges. There are many activities in which our Beavers have the opportunity of participating with the City as well as the activities in our Colony.
